Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
40 - 80 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Jaromir Jag! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yancy Boroser! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jag clinches up with Boroser and pushes him back against the cage. Jag lands an elbow just above Boroser 's eye.
It looks like Yancy Boroser has been cut. Jag using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Boroser has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jag's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Boroser takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. The fight moves into the clinch position. The referee is keeping an eye on Jag - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jag throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Jag escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jag slips under a jab from Boroser. Jag rushes Boroser and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jag is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Boroser is defending well for now. Jag breaks the clinch.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jag unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jag putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Boroser in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A head kick misses from Jag. Boroser ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jag moves away. Jag seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Jag has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Jag takes the fight into the clinch. Boroser is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Jag lands a knee to the body.
