Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Truck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nigel Truck had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Nigel Truck has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey shoots in looking for a takedown. Truck tries to sprawl out of it but Grey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Truck manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Truck has Grey pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Truck pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Grey tumbling to the mat - Truck dives into Grey's guard.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Grey is defended easily by Truck.
Truck seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Grey takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Truck closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Grey to the mat! Grey manages to get full guard.

Grey isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Truck stacks Grey on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Truck!
Truck looks up at the clock and then as Grey takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Truck smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Truck turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Truck manages to end up in side control.

Grey has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Truck is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Truck has clasped his hands together around Grey's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
