Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Colin Bonner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernard Efron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Colin Bonner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bernard Efron!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Efron drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Efron is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bonner is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bonner has escaped and now he's on top!
Efron manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bonner manages to get himself to full guard.
Bonner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Efron trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Efron drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bonner manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Efron has Bonner in his guard.

Bonner trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bonner is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Efron has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bonner is looking to defend but Efron has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bonner! Efron pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bonner taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bernard Efron!
