Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Fredrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Landon Pike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredrick comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz: Throw It Up. Ronald Fredrick has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronald Fredrick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Landon Pike!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredrick steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pike.

Fredrick closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pike quickly recovers to half guard.

Pike manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Landon Pike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pike slips a straight right by Fredrick.
Donk. Pike catches Fredrick right on the button with a cross.


It looks like Ronald Fredrick has been cut.
Pike connects with a solid leg kick.
Fredrick bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Fredrick throws a counter high kick but Pike was just alert enough to avoid it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pike throws a hook but Fredrick avoids it easily.
Fredrick tries for a takedown but Pike circles away easily
and Pike counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pike scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Fredrick looks for a takedown but Pike sprawls well.
Pike bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fredrick's head backwards.
Fredrick tries to clinch but Pike is having none of it.

Fredrick shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Pike trying to hold on to Fredrick's head to control him but Fredrick postures up.

Pike is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fredrick pulls his head out easily.

Fredrick is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pike defends it well.

Fredrick is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pike has managed to free his arm - good work.
Pike is trying is best to control the position here.
Fredrick not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Fredrick is thwarting Pike's attempts to control the position.
Fredrick definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Pike won't allow Fredrick to pass to mount.

Pike looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Pike tries to roll over but Fredrick keeps him under control.

Fredrick slips a nice elbow through Pike's hands, connecting with Pike's forehead.
Fredrick wants to control but Pike is keeping him busy.
Fredrick prevents Pike from improving his position.
Fredrick trying to mount his opponent but Pike defends it.
Pike is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fredrick's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fredrick's back!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
You can see the frustration on Fredrick's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Pike is looking to control Fredrick but Fredrick is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Pike gets his hands free as Fredrick looks to control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pike is trying to stick to Fredrick's back but Fredrick is turning into Pike. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Pike's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fredrick.
Pike controls Fredrick momentarily but Fredrick frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fredrick won't allow Pike to sweep him here.
Fredrick postures up in Pike's guard and throws a big left but Pike blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Landon Pike dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ronald Fredrick's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


A lazy left from Pike finds it's target.
Pike connects with a jab.

Fredrick drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fredrick content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Fredrick postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fredrick with a nice head shot there.

Pike had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fredrick defends it easily.

Fredrick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pike has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fredrick has managed to get both his arms back between Pike's legs - danger averted.

Fredrick passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Pike is looking for a sweep.
Fredrick tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fredrick looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Pike is avoiding damage well.
Fredrick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pike keeps working.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Fredrick swings around for an armbar but Pike sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Fredrick's guard.
Pike has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pike looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Fredrick is looking to stand up but Pike isn't so interested in that idea.
Fredrick is trying to control the position but Pike postures up.
Pike being controlled here momentarily.

Fredrick throws his legs up looking for a submission but Pike uses it to pass to side control.

Fredrick can't do much from the bottom here.

Pike tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pike has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Fredrick is looking for a sweep.
A lull in the action here.

Pike tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pike trying to control the action but Fredrick is working from the bottom.
Pike taking a breather here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

A close second round but Landon Pike will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Fredrick moves out of range as Pike strikes.
A big right from Fredrick misses.
Pike throws a shot from downtown. Fredrick moves away and avoids it.
Pike scores with the left hand. Fredrick knows he should have avoided that one.
Ronald Fredrick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pike thuds a left hand into Fredrick's body.
Landon Pike seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The fighters circling - Pike throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pike keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Fredrick breaks from the clinch.
Fredrick uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pike.
Horrible takedown attempt by Fredrick or perhaps it was just good defense by Pike, which made it look bad.
Fredrick will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pike might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Pike pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fredrick appears to be looking for a big counter.
Fredrick shoots in looking for a takedown. Pike tries to sprawl out of it but Fredrick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pike manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Pike lands a nice shot to the body.
Landon Pike is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Pike thuds his right hand into Fredrick's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Fredrick tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pike swivels and escapes.
Fredrick misses with a double jab
and Pike counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pike wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Pike defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fredrick.
Pike takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Pike bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fredrick's head.
Fredrick throws a half hearted mid kick.
Fredrick walks into a straight right hand from Pike.
Pike shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fredrick eats them both and turns towards Pike to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Pike fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Fredrick with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Pike to score with a decent uppercut.
Fredrick takes a shot right to the bread basket.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A decent looking cross lands there for Pike.
Pike getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Pike keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Landon Pike comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pike has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
