Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ralek Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kevin Brinkman! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Ralek Gracie has been cut. Brinkman misses with a two punch combination.
Gracie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Brinkman looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well. Brinkman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie. Brinkman throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Brinkman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Brinkman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie throws a body punch but Brinkman moves out of range. Brinkman throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily. Gracie swings for the body but Brinkman moves out of range.
Gracie tries to bum rush Brinkman with a series of wild strikes but Brinkman uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Brinkman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brinkman throws a right and a left that both miss. Brinkman throws out a powerful jab. Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brinkman is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Brinkman circles away and we're back to standing. Brinkman defending well as Gracie loads up on a big left hand. Brinkman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Brinkman throws a front kick that sends Gracie stumbling back into the cage. A head kick misses from Brinkman. Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Brinkman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ralek Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gracie is breathing heavily. Gracie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brinkman lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Brinkman shoots in but no luck this time.

Brinkman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brinkman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brinkman fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Kevin Brinkman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gracie swinging wilding here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brinkman falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie. Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brinkman is keeping the position for now. Brinkman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gracie. Brinkman can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gracie thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Brinkman is trying to stand back up but Gracie is controlling him
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Gracie with shots to the head and body - Brinkman looks very uncomfortable down there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie landing strikes, looking to finish! Brinkman is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action. Gracie throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Brinkman has his hands clasped together but Gracie breaks the hold and Brinkman is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gracie!
