Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ken Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickety Cricket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rickety Cricket!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz is looking to clinch but Cricket is avoiding it.
Cricket looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Cruz tries a head kick but it misses.
Cruz connects with a jab.
Cricket scores with a crisp jab that stopped Cruz in his tracks.
Cruz jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A little jabbing left from Cricket on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Cricket wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Cruz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Cruz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cricket lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Cricket is struggling to control the position.
Cricket misses with some punches.
Cricket wants to break free but Cruz has control.
Cricket avoiding damage.

Cruz trying to land knees to the body.

Cricket lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cruz backwards.
Cricket misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Cricket misses with the head strike.
Cricket lands with a right to the head.

A nice right hand lands inside from Cricket.
Cricket scores with a shoulder strike.
Cruz landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Cricket presses Cruz against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cruz has Cricket pressed against the cage, preventing Cricket from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Cruz tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cricket avoids it.
The referee is keeping an eye on Cricket - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Cricket tries to throw a body punch but Cruz avoids it by throwing Cricket back against the cage.

Cricket lands with a light punch inside.
Cricket will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Cruz up against the cage.
Cricket misses with some punches.
Cricket tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Cricket misses with the head strike.
Cricket lands a body punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rickety Cricket dominated that round.
That's time! Cruz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ken Cruz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cruz moves out of range of the strikes.
Cruz wants to clinch.
Cricket misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cruz.
Cruz walks into a straight right hand from Cricket.
Cricket digs a good hook to Cruz's body.
The fighters circling - Cricket throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

A nice side step and Cricket releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
The fighters circling - Cricket throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Cruz is looking to slow Cricket down with leg kicks.
Cruz connects with an inside leg kick.
Cruz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cruz there as he acknowledges the shot.
Cricket digs a good body shot into Cruz's ribs.
Rickety Cricket seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Cricket scores with a jab to the body.
Cricket has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Cruz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A little jabbing left from Cricket on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cricket lands a really nice looking cross but Cruz seems unphased.
Cricket throws an overhand right that lands on Cruz's shoulder, as Cruz tries to avoid the shot.
Cricket throws a body punch but Cruz moves out of range.
Cricket lands a lovely overhand right.
Ken Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cricket scores with a crisp jab that stopped Cruz in his tracks.
Cruz throws a head kick but Cricket moves out of range.
Cricket shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cruz eats them both and turns towards Cricket to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


Cruz is rocked!

Cricket throws a series of punches but Cruz avoids them all with ease.
Oh Cruz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cricket is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Cruz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cruz seems to have got his legs back now.

Cricket cracks Cruz with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Cruz looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Cricket finish him?
Cruz lands a leg kick that knocks Cricket off balance momentarily.
Cruz scoring well with a low kick there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cruz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cricket has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Cricket lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Cricket lands a nice hook to Cruz's body. Cruz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Cruz closes the distance looking to clinch
and Cruz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cricket comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cricket, as that shot connected.
Cruz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Cricket smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Cricket cracks Cruz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Cricket bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Cricket drops Cruz with a big left hand! Cruz is injured, injured bad! Cricket jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rickety Cricket!
