Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Craig Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zhengtao Wei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Blood of Heroes!. Zhengtao Wei will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Craig Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zhengtao Wei! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing. Johnson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Wei checks it well. It seemed like Wei was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Johnson forces Wei back against the cage and clinches. Johnson lands on the inside with an uppercut. Johnson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wei has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Johnson tries to land a knee to the head but Wei blocks with his arms.
Johnson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Johnson is looking to control Wei's arms but Wei gets an underhook and turns him. Now Johnson has his back to the cage. Wei can't find room to land a body shot as Johnson controls the action.
Johnson manages to break the clinch.
Johnson misses with a looping left. A jab from Wei does it's job there.
It looks like Craig Johnson has been cut. Johnson throws a body shot but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wei avoids the body shot from Johnson.
Johnson avoids the head kick by Wei.
Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wei was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson. Wei uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Johnson.
Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wei manages to avoid it. Johnson throws a jab when Wei was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wei lands a jab. Johnson throws a body punch but Wei moves out of range. Wei doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Wei lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Wei does a little dance to reset his feet. A punch lands to the side of Wei 's head but he takes it in his stride. Craig Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson gets caught flat footed, as Wei shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson wants to sweep but no luck. Johnson is adopting a defensive guard. Wei trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wei lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wei pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johnson is keeping the position for now. Wei stops Johnson from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson working a defensive guard here.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Wei from controlling successfully. Wei prevents Johnson from getting back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Wei avoids the body shot from Johnson.
Johnson takes a swing at Wei's ribcage but misses. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.
Johnson thows a left - swing and a miss! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Johnson. Johnson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Johnson misses the shot to the body. Wei drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Johnson defends it well. Johnson is looking to wear down Wei with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Nice cross by Wei.
Craig Johnson's cut is getting worse.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Johnson is predictable there and Wei counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnson won't be happy with that. Johnson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wei's best efforts. Wei content to control rather than advance. Wei is trying to work for a kimura but Johnson is defending well.
Johnson is not content to let Wei control the position. Wei looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wei prevents Johnson from standing back up.
Wei is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wei stops Johnson from getting back to his feet.
Wei prevents Johnson from improving his position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Wei is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wei to get the leverage. Johnson wants to control but Wei is keeping busy and won't allow it. Johnson works his way to full guard. Good work. Johnson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Wei lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Craig Johnson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Craig Johnson's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Wei throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Wei lands a nice looking body shot.
Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wei drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Johnson defends it well. Johnson swings and misses with a shot to the body and Wei counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Johnson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Wei counters with a left and a right that stings Johnson. Johnson moves forwards but Wei connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Craig Johnson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Wei shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wei not doing much here.
Johnson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wei scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wei is pressing down on Johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnson is holding on for now. Wei prevents Johnson from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wei scoring with strikes to the body and head. Johnson is looking to escape. Wei controlling the action here. Wei landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jeez, Craig Johnson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Craig Johnson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
