Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glen Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles North (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). North has chosen Men at Work - Down Under as his entrance music. Miles North is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Glen Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miles North!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
North misses with a jab, cross combination.
Taylor connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Taylor lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Taylor cracks North with a right hand to the side of the head.

Taylor moves into range and clinches up with North.
North goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A short right from Taylor on the inside.
North throws an elbow but it misses.
North wants to take the fight to the mat but Taylor manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Taylor lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
North lands a damaging elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
North using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Taylor has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Taylor jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as North walks away with a smile on his face. Taylor gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A telegraphed right hand from North misses the target.
Taylor uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from North.
Taylor was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Taylor misses with a wild body shot.
Taylor getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Taylor fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Taylor gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
North's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Taylor pulls guard effortlessly.
Taylor keeping moving, preventing North from controlling successfully.
Taylor might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Taylor wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Taylor is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
North stays in close to Taylor's body and controls the position.
Taylor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
North with a nice head shot there.
North is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Taylor keeping moving, preventing North from controlling successfully.
Taylor is trying to control the position but North postures up.
Taylor has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but North has passed into side control.
Taylor gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
North takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Taylor manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

North avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Taylor wants to control but North passes easily into half guard.
Taylor is trying is best to control the position here.
North looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Taylor wants to control but North is keeping busy.
Taylor wants to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
North throwing shots but Taylor is blocking nicely.
Taylor is trying to stand.
Still in half guard, North seems content to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
North avoids the body shot from Taylor.
North throws a sloppy head kick and Taylor moves out of range easily.
A little feinted left hand from Taylor on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Taylor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
North takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Glen Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
North shoots in for a takedown but Taylor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Taylor closes this distance looking for a takedown but North circles away.
North unleashes a big counter combination but Taylor bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Taylor on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Sloppy strikes from North. Those never looked like landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Glen Taylor dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Taylor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. North tries to avoid it but Taylor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag North to the ground. North escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Glen Taylor is winning the standup battle so far.
North looks to land a left hand but Taylor moved out of range nicely.
North takes one to the chin there.
North bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
North throws a big shot that misses.
North doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Taylor will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
North lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
North throws a sloppy head kick and Taylor moves out of range easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from North.
North scoring well with a low kick there.
Taylor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Taylor lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Taylor lands a straight punch to the body, keeping North at a distance.
A bone on bone clash there as Taylor blocks the leg kick.
It looked like Taylor was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from North.
A big left from Taylor misses.
North throws out a loose jab but Taylor uses good head movement to avoid it.

North fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Taylor clinches up against the cage.
Taylor dodges an elbow strike from North.
North tries to score a body lock takedown but Taylor shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
North wants a takedown but no success here.
The referee calls for Taylor to work.
Taylor has North pressed against the cage, preventing North from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Taylor stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
North looking to stall.

Taylor pushes North back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
North trying to stall but Taylor improves his position.
Taylor fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glen Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
North drops down looking for an ankle pick but Taylor pulls his leg out and moves away.

North tries to keep at a distance but Taylor has taken the fight into the clinch.

North lands a left hand that snaps the head of Taylor backwards.
North with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
North is trying to stall.
Taylor lands a nice uppercut.
Taylor makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Taylor swings wildly with an uppercut but North uses good head movement to avoid it.

Taylor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
North throws a low kick, looking for Taylor's leg but Taylor calmly moves out of range.
Taylor lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Taylor.
Taylor thows a left - swing and a miss!
Taylor lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


North is rocked!
Taylor shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. North takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Taylor sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! North bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Glen Taylor!
Glen Taylor made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'It's TIME, GAME TIME BITCHES!'.
