The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace closes the distance and clinches up with Buesching, looking for a takedown. Wallace pushes Buesching against the cage but Buesching circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Buesching decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Buesching decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Wallace looks gassed! Buesching throws a nice head kick!
Buesching closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Buesching lands in his opponent's guard. Buesching drops back looking for a leg! Wallace is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wallace manages to kick Buesching off! Buesching jumps back into Wallace's guard. Buesching won't allow Wallace to get back to his feet. Wallace throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Buesching's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Buesching gets to his feet. Wallace looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace throws a series of punches but Buesching avoids them all with ease. Wallace stuffs the takedown attempt from Buesching. Buesching gets slowly back to his feet. Buesching fails with the takedown and Wallace decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Buesching's guard. Buesching looking to control but Wallace passes into half guard.
Buesching looks like he's trying to stand up.
Buesching wants to control but Wallace is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wallace looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Buesching with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Buesching avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wallace. Wallace not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buesching manages to get to full guard.
Wallace wants to stand and escape but instead Buesching has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Wallace is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Buesching is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Wallace looking for subs off his back but Buesching has passed one foot through into half guard.
Buesching wants to pass the guard but Wallace is defending well. Buesching will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace wants to improve his position but Buesching is controlling well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Wallace throws a head kick that misses and Buesching counters with a nice leg kick. Buesching really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A jab from Wallace misses. Buesching looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Buesching is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buesching won't allow Wallace to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wallace is wriggling around but Buesching manages to pass to half guard.
Buesching postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Wallace to stand up. Wallace throws a sloppy head kick and Buesching counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wallace won't be happy with that. Buesching stands up. Wallace throws a sloppy head kick and Buesching counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wallace! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Buesching scores with a couple of good head shots there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wallace is trying to stand. Buesching controlling from mount. Buesching lands a big elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buesching has a takedown stuffed. Buesching shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wallace as he avoids it easily. Wallace throws a head kick that misses and Buesching counters with a series of strikes. Wallace will be more careful next time no doubt. Wallace lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Buesching circles away quickly and effectively. William Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace throws a lazy head kick and Buesching counters with a head kick. That will keep Wallace thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Wallace throws a right and a left that both miss. Buesching shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wallace as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robin Buesching. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wallace throws a sloppy head kick and Buesching connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wallace gets caught flat footed, as Buesching shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Wallace wants to stand up but Buesching is controlling him. Buesching wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving. Wallace wants to get back to his feet but Buesching is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace is striking but Buesching is not phased and passes to half guard. Buesching takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Wallace pushes Buesching off looking to stand but Buesching dives back in and keeps control.
Buesching seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Buesching seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Wallace drives through with a takedown into guard. Buesching is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wallace really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buesching. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace advances to half guard. Wallace missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Buesching is looking for a sweep. Wallace is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are battling for position here. Buesching manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Wallace postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Buesching working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wallace doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wallace manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Buesching is trying to keep Wallace in close.
Wallace would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wallace must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Wallace tries to free his leg and advance position but Buesching is retaining full guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Buesching tries to clinch but Wallace moves out of range. Buesching uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Buesching shoots in looking for a takedown. Wallace tries to sprawl out of it but Buesching keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wallace manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wallace throws a lazy head kick and Buesching counters with a solid body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Buesching avoids the head kick by Wallace.
Wallace is looking to clinch but Buesching is avoiding it.
Buesching lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Buesching closes the distance and clinches up with Wallace, looking for a takedown. Buesching pushes Wallace against the cage but Wallace circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A head kick misses from Wallace. Buesching tries to clinch there but Wallace circles away.
Wallace throws a right and a left that both miss. Robin Buesching is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wallace closes the distance and clinches up with Buesching, looking for a takedown. Wallace pushes Buesching against the cage but Buesching circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wallace clinches but Buesching breaks the clinch and Buesching counters with a thumping low kick. Buesching closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wallace circles away. Wallace shoots in but no luck this time. Buesching shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Wallace to counter with a crisp jab. Wallace throws a head kick that misses and Buesching counters with a flying knee. Nice. Wallace moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Wallace has closed the distance and engaged Buesching in a clinch.
Wallace escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Buesching connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Wallace throws a lazy head kick and Buesching moves into the clinch. Wallace wants to break the clinch but can't.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Buesching lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Wallace has Buesching pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Buesching manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Buesching just leaning against Wallace, taking a breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Buesching fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Wallace throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Buesching works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Buesching looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wallace has picked Buesching up and slammed him! Buesching can't keep hold of the triangle and Wallace manages to pass to side control! Wallace wants to stand but Buesching is controlling his arm. Wallace decides to take the fight back to the feet. Buesching closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wallace manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buesching shoots in and drives through. Wallace sprawls well. Wallace throws a lazy head kick and Buesching counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wallace thinking. Wallace fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Buesching sprawls well initially but Wallace persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wallace missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Wallace uses his free foot to push down on Buesching's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Buesching. Buesching is in all sorts of trouble here.
Wallace sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Wallace landing punches. Buesching is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Buesching is trying desperately to improve position. Wallace scoring with strikes but Buesching is staying in there. Buesching slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Buesching regains full guard. Nicely done. Wallace connects with a couple of short punches. Buesching has his feet on Wallace's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Buesching tries to keep at a distance but Wallace has taken the fight into the clinch. Buesching jumps guard.
Wallace stands up and waves to Buesching to follow him.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Buesching working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wallace's head. Wallace looking for a sweep. Not yet Wallace, not yet. Wallace is trying to keep Buesching in close.
Wallace is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. William Wallace has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Buesching gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A chopping leg kick lands by Buesching. Wallace misses with the body kick and Buesching counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wallace! Robin Buesching is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wallace is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Robin Buesching showed his dominance in that final round. Well Buesching has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
