Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Owen Ziegler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Owen Ziegler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Killer.
Junior Killer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ziegler forces Killer back against the cage and clinches.
Killer drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ziegler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ziegler throws a sloppy head kick and Killer moves out of range easily.
Killer closes the distance but Ziegler moves to the side
and Ziegler counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ziegler.
Killer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ziegler gets underhooks to prevent Killer's takedown attempt.
Ziegler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ziegler darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Killer has eaten all the pies!
Ziegler takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Killer's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Ziegler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Killer is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ziegler gets his way!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Killer is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Ziegler sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Killer has no choice but to tap and Ziegler jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
