Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brownie Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mats Söderlund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

29 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brownie Anderson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mats Söderlund! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Söderlund throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. An attempted straight right counter from Anderson misses the target. Söderlund walks into a stiff left hand from Anderson.
It looks like Mats Söderlund has been cut. Söderlund swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Anderson to counter with a crisp jab. Anderson slips under a jab. Nice defenses there by Anderson. An attempted straight right counter from Anderson misses the target. Söderlund throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Anderson throws a lazy right hand but Söderlund sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Söderlund throws out a counter right but Anderson avoids it with no problem. Söderlund moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Söderlund misses with a right hand enabling Anderson to counter with a crisp jab. Söderlund dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Anderson. That did some damage! Söderlund scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Anderson doesn't seem bothered though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Söderlund throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Anderson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Söderlund thows a left - swing and a miss! Mats Söderlund seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Söderlund tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Söderlund comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Söderlund moves out of range of the strikes. Anderson is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Söderlund throws a quick inside leg kick. Anderson cracks Söderlund with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Söderlund pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Söderlund throws a lazy uppercut
and Anderson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anderson misses with a straight left. Anderson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

A decent looking cross lands there for Anderson. Söderlund swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Anderson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Anderson digs a good body shot into Söderlund's ribs. Anderson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jab by Söderlund. Anderson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Söderlund throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Anderson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Söderlund is looking to score with low kicks. Anderson throwing a counter right hand but Söderlund manages to avoid it. Söderlund takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Söderlund bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Anderson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Anderson lands a nice looking body shot.
Söderlund looks to score with a jab to the body but Anderson is just out of range. Söderlund fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Anderson on the side of the head.
It looks like Brownie Anderson has been cut. Söderlund thows a left - swing and a miss! Söderlund misses with a left hand and Anderson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Söderlund misses with a combination
letting Anderson counter with a right hand. Anderson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Söderlund attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. This has been an exciting period of action! Söderlund scores with a jab to the jaw. Decent striking displayed by Söderlund there. Anderson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Söderlund. Söderlund misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Anderson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Anderson lands a right hook to the body.
Söderlund throws a half hearted mid kick. As Söderlund backs away, Anderson returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Söderlund throws a body kick that misses. Söderlund thows a leg kick but Anderson checks it and Anderson counters with a right hand to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Söderlund. Anderson does a little dance to reset his feet. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brownie Anderson will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Söderlund misses with a right hand and Anderson counters with a nice body shot. Söderlund misses the shot to the body. Anderson scores with a jab to the jaw. Anderson cracks Söderlund with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
That has opened up Mats Söderlund's cut even more. Anderson throws a nice inside leg kick. Anderson misses with an uppercut. An inside leg kick from Söderlund misses. Anderson throws a quick counter kick to the body but Söderlund avoids it. Söderlund throws a poor cross that misses
and Anderson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Söderlund thinking. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Söderlund thows a left - swing and a miss! A swing and a miss from Anderson. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Söderlund! But no joy. Anderson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Söderlund throws a poor cross that misses
and Anderson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Söderlund to score with a decent uppercut. Söderlund looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A low kick from Söderlund is predictable there and Anderson counters with a stiff right hand. Söderlund fails to land with a series of punches.
A little feinted left hand from Anderson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Anderson cracks Söderlund with a right hand to the side of the head. Anderson lands with a hook. Söderlund tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Söderlund throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Anderson jabs at Söderlund's body. Anderson missing with a left hand there. Söderlund was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Söderlund tries a head kick but it misses.
Anderson throwing a counter right hand but Söderlund manages to avoid it. The fighters circle momentarily. Anderson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The cut above Mats Söderlund's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Söderlund steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Anderson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Anderson checks a leg kick. Brownie Anderson is winning the standup battle so far. Anderson scores with the left hand. Söderlund knows he should have avoided that one. Söderlund throws a shot from downtown. Anderson moves away and avoids it. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Söderlund in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Söderlund ducks under a wild hook from Anderson. Söderlund misses with a hook

A punch lands to the side of Anderson 's head but he takes it in his stride. Anderson checks a low kick from Söderlund. Söderlund defending well as Anderson loads up on a big left hand. Söderlund swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Söderlund misses with a right hand and Anderson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Anderson looks to land a left hand but Söderlund moved out of range nicely. Söderlund throws an ugly left hook that misses
