Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Cornell!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Cornell is looking to get back to is feet but Jones passes into side control.
Jones passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Cornell!
Cornell takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Cornell looks winded!
Jones controlling from mount.
Cornell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Jones working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Jones landing strikes, looking to finish!

BOOM! Jones connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cornell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Jones scoring with strikes but Cornell is staying in there.
Jones looking to control and managing it successfully.
Jones could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Cornell is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Jones is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Jones!
