Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Lewis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dana White! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White closes the distance and clinches up with Lewis, looking for a takedown. White pushes Lewis against the cage but Lewis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lewis looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! White shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lewis sprawls well. Lewis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. White gets slowly back to his feet. White just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromLewis. White gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lewis to score an easy takedown into full guard. White looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
White working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Lewis has passed into half guard!
White is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lewis content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. White is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lewis pulls his head out easily. Lewis trying to control the pace. White actively working from the bottom here. Lewis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks White with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Lewis slows the pace down in half guard. White works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. White had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lewis defends it easily. Lewis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Lewis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Lewis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. White changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Lewis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
White shoots in but Lewis avoids the takedown attempt easily. Steven Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dana White. Lewis gets a takedown into half guard. Still in half guard, Lewis seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White actively working from the bottom here. Lewis seems to be working for a kimura but White defends the submission attempt. Well, if Lewis is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Lewis content to control rather than advance. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lewis connects with a nice short shot to White's temple. Still in half guard, Lewis seems content to control. White wants to sweep but Lewis has passed to side control! White is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lewis has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lewis instigates a clinch. Lewis lands a right hand that snaps the head of White backwards. Lewis manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

He catches White napping and manages to drive through into side control! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White is trying to improve his position. Lewis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that White can do to turn this around? Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. White is trying to work for a sweep but Lewis has mounted him! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lewis manages to capitalize on a mistake by White to take his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on White's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Lewis is looking for the choke from the back position but White is controlling his hands well. White grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Lewis keeps control of the position as White tries to break free.
White is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lewis is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. White is defending well though. Lewis let's go of the attempt for now. Lewis working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. White is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Lewis is trying to stick to White's back but White is turning into Lewis. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lewis's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by White. White drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lewis dives on top into guard. Lewis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. White looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lewis has picked White up and slammed him! White can't keep hold of the triangle and Lewis manages to pass to side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Lewis dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for White. Lewis prevents White from getting the reversal. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lewis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. White looks a forlorn figure.
Dana White has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Steven Lewis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lewis moves to take his opponent's back.
And that's the end of the fight! Steven Lewis showed his dominance in that final round. Well Lewis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
