The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Condit fails with the takedown.
StaMaria tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Condit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. StaMaria tries to avoid it but Condit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag StaMaria to the ground. StaMaria escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

StaMaria swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Condit is now in StaMaria's guard. A big mistake from StaMaria there, giving up the dominant position!

StaMaria is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Condit throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Condit seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Condit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well Condit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
