The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cesar wants to clinch up but Malakian keeps it at a distance.
Cesar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Malakian shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Malakian showed some decent athleticism there.
Malakian trying to pass the guard but Cesar defending well.
Malakian is trying to work for a kimura but Cesar is defending well.
Malakian wants to work for an arm triangle but Cesar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Cesar looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Malakian passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Cesar!
Malakian forces the positional change into back control.
Cesar staying busy and making it hard for Malakian to control.

Malakian is looking for a kimura but Cesar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Malakian to get the leverage.
Cesar is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Malakian pulls his head out easily.

Malakian looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Cesar regains full guard. Nicely done.
Cesar looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Cesar looking for a guillotine here but Malakian defends easily.
Cesar keeping moving, preventing Malakian from controlling successfully.
Cesar has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Malakian should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Cesar has tightened it up now! Malakian should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
