Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov throws a left and a right that both miss
and Phelps counters with a straight right hand.
Phelps looks to score with a jab to the body but Volkov is just out of range.
Volkov staying out of range there.
Phelps has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Vegas Campania in the buildup to the fight.
Volkov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Volkov drives through with a takedown into Phelps's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Phelps looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Volkov scoring with punches to the head and body.
Volkov stands up over Phelps, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Volkov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Phelps works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Volkov working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Phelps's head.

Phelps looking to hit a scissor sweep but Volkov is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oh Phelps is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Volkov postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Phelps covers up, he's hurt! Volkov keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Volkov and the ref steps in to end the fight! Volkov can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
