The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Respect lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Respect scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Respect misses the shot to the body.
Pritchard staying out of range there.
Pritchard appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A telegraphed right hand from Respect misses the target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Respect. Pritchard does a little dance to reset his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Respect can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pritchard remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
