Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Orlando Doom!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivor Smallun!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doom throws a body punch but Smallun moves out of range.
Smallun looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Doom shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smallun pinned against the cage. Smallun gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smallun keeps the fight on the outside.
Doom closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smallun circles away.
Smallun drops Doom with a left and a right! Oh, Doom is hurt - Smallun dives into side control looking to finish!
Smallun tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Smallun really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A lull in the action here.
Doom manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Doom seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smallun can do anything to dispel that myth.
Smallun trying to control from the bottom.
Doom wants to take a breather but Smallun is having none of it.
Doom really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Doom is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Doom wants to pass to mount but Smallun is defending the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
No luck for Doom with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Orlando Doom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Doom is breathing heavily.
Smallun moves into the clinch successfully.
Smallun throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dooms head.
Smallun is pushing Doom up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Smallun pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smallun closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Doom sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Smallun wants to free his trapped foot but Doom is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smallun wants to stand up but Doom is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smallun controlling the action here.
Doom is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Smallun is looking to advance position but Doom won't allow it.
Smallun looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Smallun is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivor Smallun dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Doom shoots in and drives through. Smallun sprawls well.
Smallun lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Doom falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ivor Smallun!
