The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asai swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cole counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Asai tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cole was well out of range. Poor timing from Asai .

Cole blocks a jab.
Cole seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and Asai counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cole avoids the head kick by Asai .
Cole swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Asai misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cole looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Asai pulls out of a head kick attempt.

As Cole backs off Asai throws a huge counter combo but Cole manages to avoid it all.

Cole goes for a double leg but Asai avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Asai continues to drive forward.
Cole displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Asai throws out the jab.

Asai breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Asai lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cole circles away quickly and effectively.
Cole attempts a counter takedown but Asai avoids it well and moves away.
Asai throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Asai looks to throw the jab but Cole is out of range.
A lazy left from Asai finds it's target.
Cole takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Asai throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cole counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Asai lands a left and a right that send Cole crashing to the mat, dazed. Asai thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Cole is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Asai lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Cole crumples to the floor! Asai milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
