PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Culver Crimson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandor Clegane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clegane has chosen Gladiator as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Culver Crimson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Culver Crimson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sandor Clegane!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clegane lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.


It looks like Culver Crimson has been cut.
Crimson misses with a few strikes there.
Crimson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Clegane slips a jab and a cross from Crimson.

Clegane pulls Crimson in close to prevent any damage.
We've been hearing that Crimson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Culver Crimson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Clegane takes the fight into the clinch.
Clegane throws a punch but it's blocked by Crimson.

Clegane jumps guard and drags Crimson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

As Clegane looks to move away, Crimson throws a big counter combo but Clegane just gets out of the way.
Clegane bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Crimson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Crimson misses with a few strikes there.
Culver Crimson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Clegane is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crimson.
Crimson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Clegane moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sandor Clegane seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Crimson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Crimson just misses with a punch to the body.
Crimson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Clegane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Crimson moves out of range as Clegane throws a body kick.

Clegane clinches up against the cage.
Clegane pushes off an throws an elbow but Crimson leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Crimson dodges an elbow strike from Clegane.

A head punch on the inside from Crimson fails to land.
Crimson landing knees to the body.
Clegane misses with a punch to the body.
Crimson lands with a light punch inside.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Clegane drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Crimson defends it well.
Crimson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Clegane lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Culver Crimson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Crimson does no damage.

Clegane has managed to clinch.
Clegane blocking some punches.
Crimson tries a knee to the head but Clegane blocks it.

Our spies down at at LOD: Xtreme MMA inform us that Clegane has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
