Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maarten Dijkhuizen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimchee Ohno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dijkhuizen comes to the cage accompanied by Het Land Van. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Maarten Dijkhuizen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kimchee Ohno!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ohno takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Maarten Dijkhuizen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dijkhuizen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Dijkhuizen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ohno.
And Ohno tries to counter it with a takedown but Dijkhuizen pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Dijkhuizen connects with a nice looking jab.

Ohno shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dijkhuizen napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Ohno wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dijkhuizen, who protects the arm well.
Ohno trying to control the action but Dijkhuizen is working from the bottom.

Ohno is trying to get an arm triangle but Dijkhuizen is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dijkhuizen throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Dijkhuizen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Dijkhuizen throws a right and a left that Ohno avoids nicely.
Dijkhuizen misses with a body punch

so Ohno counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ohno thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ohno trying to control the position from guard on top but Dijkhuizen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dijkhuizen is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Ohno presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Ohno is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dijkhuizen pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Ohno has Dijkhuizen pressed against the cage, preventing Dijkhuizen from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Ohno gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Ohno thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ohno gets to his feet - Dijkhuizen follows without any prompting.
Ohno's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dijkhuizen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ohno scrambles back to his feet.
Ohno slips a jab and a cross from Dijkhuizen.
Despite the aggression on Ohno's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Ohno shoots in looking for a takedown but Dijkhuizen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ohno's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Maarten Dijkhuizen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kimchee Ohno.
Dijkhuizen tries to bum rush Ohno with a series of wild strikes but Ohno uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ohno drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dijkhuizen defends it well.

Ohno doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dijkhuizen lands the left hand.
Dijkhuizen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ohno on the side of the head.
No joy there for Dijkhuizen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dijkhuizen connects with the punch.
Dijkhuizen throws a shot from downtown. Ohno moves away and avoids it.
Dijkhuizen connects with a right hand. Ohno shakes it off.
Dijkhuizen scores with a one two! Ohno had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Kimchee Ohno has been cut.
Dijkhuizen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And Ohno tries to counter it with a takedown but Dijkhuizen pushes his down on his head and steps out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dijkhuizen clobbers Ohno with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Ohno fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dijkhuizen avoids it really well and circles away.
Dijkhuizen throws the left hand but Ohno avoids the punch easily.
Dijkhuizen darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ohno ducks under a wild hook from Dijkhuizen.
Dijkhuizen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ohno tries to counter by closing the distance.
Ohno shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dijkhuizen defends it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Kimchee Ohno's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Ohno decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dijkhuizen's guard.
Ohno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dijkhuizen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ohno is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dijkhuizen has managed to free his arm - good work.

Ohno is looking for a kimura but Dijkhuizen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ohno to get the leverage.
Dijkhuizen is trying to stand up here but Ohno is controlling him well.
Kimchee Ohno has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ohno seems to be working for a kimura but Dijkhuizen defends the submission attempt.
Ohno is pressing down on Dijkhuizen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dijkhuizen is holding on for now.

Ohno is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Dijkhuizen pushes Ohno off and scrambles back to his feet.
Dijkhuizen scores with the left hand. Ohno knows he should have avoided that one.
Dijkhuizen stalks Ohno and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ohno's face. Ohno staggers backwards, shaken.
Dijkhuizen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ohno was well out of range. Poor timing from Dijkhuizen.
Ohno drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dijkhuizen defends it well.
Maarten Dijkhuizen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dijkhuizen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Ohno is rocked!
Dijkhuizen throws a right hand that Ohno ducks under and follows up with a left that Ohno also avoids with ease.
Ohno is still on wobbly legs! Can Dijkhuizen finish him?

Dijkhuizen scores with a jab. Ohno acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Dijkhuizen connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Dijkhuizen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ohno drops back looking for a leg! Dijkhuizen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dijkhuizen manages to kick Ohno off! Ohno jumps back into Dijkhuizen's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ohno is defended easily by Dijkhuizen.
Ohno takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Dijkhuizen scores with a punch to the head.
Dijkhuizen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Dijkhuizen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ohno moves away.
Dijkhuizen misses the shot to the body.
Dijkhuizen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dijkhuizen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Dijkhuizen scores with a jab to the jaw.
