Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Rayner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Young Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Young Blood is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Rayner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Young Blood! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blood looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rayner is fending him off so far but Blood persists. Nope, Rayner circles away and we're back to standing. Blood throws a right hand that Rayner ducks under and follows up with a left that Rayner also avoids with ease. Rayner doesn't succeed with the takedown and Blood counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rayner sneaks back into half guard. Blood is keen to just control but Rayner is a slippery customer. Rayner trying to control from the bottom.
Rayner is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Blood is looking to take a break and control but Rayner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rayner trying to control here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rayner throws a lazy head kick and Blood counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rayner is looking to improve his position.
Blood wants to take a breather but Rayner is having none of it. Still in half guard, Blood seems content to control. Rayner wants to get back to full guard. Blood wants to control but Rayner is keeping him busy. Rayner holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Rayner is breathing heavily. Rayner won't allow Blood to pass to mount. Rayner is not content to let Blood control the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rayner tries to clinch but Blood moves away and Blood counters with a shoot takedown. Rayner fights it but they end up in guard. Rayner looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Blood controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Rayner is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blood wanted to stand there but Rayner had control of the position. Rayner is striking but Blood is not phased and passes to half guard. Rayner wants to get back to full guard but Blood has passed into side control. Rayner flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Rayner wants to hold on but Blood pushes him away. Rayner tries to control Blood's body but Blood pushes him off. Rayner squirms to his side and now Blood has his back! Blood avoiding Rayner 's attempts to control his hands. Blood is looking to control Rayner but Rayner is wriggling around and keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rayner has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. What can Rayner do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Rayner trying to control the hands but Blood breaks the grip. Rayner is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Blood is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rayner is taking damage to the body and head. Rayner looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rayner looking very determined here, making life difficult for Blood.
Blood is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Blood gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Blood gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Blood apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Rayner wants to clinch and Blood counters with a nice body kick. Rayner tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Blood counters with a head kick. That will keep Rayner thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Blood drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rayner is trying to control Blood's posture but Blood avoids it. Blood avoids the strikes from the bottom by Rayner. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Young Blood dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rayner tries to clinch but Blood moves away and Blood holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Rayner tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rayner tries for a takedown. No joy.
Rayner wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Rayner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blood has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rayner regains guard immediately. Rayner not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Blood trying to control the position from guard on top but Rayner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Blood being controlled here momentarily. Rayner looking to control but Blood passes into half guard.
Blood landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Blood looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blood decides to return to a standing position. Blood shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Rayner is squirming around, avoiding Blood's attempts to control the action. Rayner tries to lock up and control but Blood gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rayner manages to regain half guard. Good work. Blood is trying to control the action in half guard but Rayner is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Rayner wants to get back to his feet. Rayner gets full guard. Blood being controlled here momentarily. Blood's corner is telling him to maintain position. Rayner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rayner looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rayner controls Blood momentarily but Blood frees himself. Rayner pulls Blood in to control the position. Blood controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Blood wants to control from the top but Rayner keeps moving. Blood must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Blood preventing the sweep. Rayner trying to control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rayner fails with the takedown and Blood counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Blood.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Blood is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rayner can't fight it off and eventually Blood manages to take the fight to the floor. Rayner looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rayner is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Blood rolls with it to try and escape but Rayner cranks on the arm and Blood is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
