Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gary Pitts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timothy Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gary Pitts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Timothy Hunter! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter shoots in for a double leg but Pitts sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pitts throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Pitts lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Hunter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hunter has Pitts up against the cage in a clinch.
Hunter jumps guard but Pitts turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Pitts lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Pitts blocks the strikes from Hunter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter punching from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter wants to control but Pitts is keeping busy and won't allow it. Still in half guard, Pitts seems content to control. Hunter is looking to improve his position.

Pitts landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Pitts seems to be looking for submissions.
Well, if Pitts is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hunter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hunter fails with a takedown attempt. Gary Pitts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timothy Hunter.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hunter. Pitts throws a right hand that Hunter ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunter also avoids with ease. Hunter clinches. Hunter tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hunter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pitts is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hunter is trying to pull guard but Pitts turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Pitts tries to throw a body punch but Hunter avoids it by throwing Pitts back against the cage. Pitts prevents a takedown attempt there.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pitts breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pitts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hunter gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hunter fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pitts pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pitts slaps away a takedown attempt from Hunter, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hunter looks winded! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hunter is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pitts. Hunter fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pitts tries to keep at a distance but Hunter has taken the fight into the clinch. Pitts breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pitts avoids a kick to the body.
Pitts is looking for a counter combo. Nice sprawl there from Pitts as Hunter shoots in. Hunter moves into the clinch successfully.
Hunter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pitts just stands there and leans against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Hunter fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Hunter is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Pitts is defending well. Hunter is breathing heavily. Pitts is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hunter can't fight it off and eventually Pitts manages to take the fight to the floor. Hunter looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Pitts is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Pitts is working Hunter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Pitts landing with the ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pitts's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Pitts is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pitts slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Hunter. Hunter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pitts is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hunter can do to turn this around? The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pitts is thwarting Hunter's attempts to control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hunter blocks the body kick.
Hunter doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pitts counters with a three punch combo that has Hunter backing up. Hunter nods at Pitts to acknowledge the strikes. Pitts has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Hunter shoots in for a double leg but Pitts sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pitts is looking for a counter combo. Pitts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pitts rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hunter moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hunter shoots in and drives through. Pitts sprawls well. Hunter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pitts.
Hunter fails with a takedown attempt. Timothy Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hunter has Pitts up against the cage in a clinch.

Pitts lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hunter circles away quickly and effectively. A countering left hand to the body from Hunter misses. Hunter checks a low kick from Pitts. Hunter clinches up with Pitts and pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Hunter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pitts smiles and moves away.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pitts. Hunter unleashes a big counter combination but Pitts bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Pitts closes the distance and pushes Hunter back into the cage. Pitts has clasped his hands together around Hunter's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Hunter taking a bit of punishment here - Pitts scoring with strikes. Pitts controls the position from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pitts has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hunter struggling a bit here. Hunter tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pitts is putting a hurting on Hunter here, landing some big shots from side control. Pitts is trying to get an arm triangle but Hunter is defending well. Hunter is trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pitts taking a breather here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pitts is working Hunter over with some ground and pound from side control. Pitts staying calm. Pitts is looking to take a break and control but Hunter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hunter is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pitts is chipping away with strikes.
Hunter is not content to let Pitts control the position. Hunter tries to buck Pitts off but Pitts is having none of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pitts scoring with punches and elbows. Pitts grinds an elbow into Hunter's temple. Pitts wants to control but Hunter is keeping him busy. Timothy Hunter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gary Pitts is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Pitts controlling from side mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Gary Pitts showed his dominance in that final round. Well Pitts has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
