Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Warner McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amado Fry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Warner McGee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Amado Fry!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fry fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McGee to the ground. Fry is now in McGee's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fry looking to pass the guard.

McGee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McGee really is a fat lump.
McGee controls Fry momentarily but Fry frees himself.

McGee looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Fry has picked McGee up and slammed him! McGee can't keep hold of the triangle and Fry manages to pass to side control!
McGee is looking to regain half guard here but Fry keeps moving and retains side control.
McGee struggling a bit here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fry tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Fry has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for McGee!
McGee is squirming around, avoiding Fry's attempts to control the action.
McGee wants to control but Fry is having none of it.

McGee defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Fry.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fry wants to control the pace but McGee is squirming around nicely.
Fry takes McGee's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, McGee is in trouble.
Fry is looking to control McGee but McGee is wriggling around and keeping busy.
I really don't envy McGee right now.
McGee breaks Fry's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

McGee wants to pass the guard but Fry is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fry keeping moving, preventing McGee from controlling successfully.

Fry escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McGee trying to control but Fry is working from the bottom.
Fry looking for a sweep. Not yet Fry, not yet.
McGee works a leg free and moves into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

McGee wants to work for an arm triangle but Fry is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McGee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fry keeps working.
Fry is trying to get back to full guard.
McGee trying to control the action but Fry is working from the bottom.

Fry looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fry trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Amado Fry dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



McGee drives through with a takedown into Fry's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
McGee trying to control the position from guard on top but Fry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Fry looking for a guillotine here but McGee defends easily.

Fry isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McGee stacks Fry on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McGee!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGee goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Fry has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for McGee but great work by Fry.
Fry is breathing heavily.

You can see the frustration on McGee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fry is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McGee has escaped the position, nice work there.
McGee can't do much from the bottom here.

Fry goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McGee rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Fry's guard! Nice work there by McGee!

McGee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

McGee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fry swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fry looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
McGee wants to pass the guard but Fry is keeping the position.
Amado Fry has got the better of the ground game so far.
McGee controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Fry keeping moving, preventing McGee from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fry throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

McGee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McGee advances position into side control!

McGee is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fry knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Fry tries to bench press McGee off him but McGee keeps the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Warner McGee dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



McGee throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fry tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McGee is in Fry's guard.

Fry is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McGee defends well.
McGee passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Fry tries to improve position but can't.
Fry takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McGee has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Fry!

Fry is working to get back to half guard.

McGee has hold of Fry's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fry manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Fry is squirming around, avoiding McGee's attempts to control the action.
McGee moves to the back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fry trying to control the action but McGee just sinks the hooks in.
McGee doesn't have the hooks in and Fry manages to turn into his guard.

McGee working for a triangle but Fry defends it easily.
Fry wants to control from the top but McGee keeps moving.
McGee wants to sweep but no luck.

McGee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

McGee has an active guard here but Fry has managed to pass into half guard.
McGee trying to control here.

Fry seems to be looking for submissions.
Fry is trying to control. McGee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McGee is looking to improve his position.
Fry seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fry is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Fry is looking for a kimura here.

McGee is not content to let Fry control the position.

Warner McGee showed his dominance in that final round.
Well McGee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
