The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Mises closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Von Mises.
Esposito tries to pull guard but Von Mises won't allow it.
Von Mises is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Esposito is keeping busy.
Esposito throws a punch but it's blocked by Von Mises.
Esposito lands with a right to the head.
Esposito tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Esposito goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Esposito misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Esposito manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Von Mises looking to sit in guard and control but Esposito gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Esposito is standing up over Von Mises. Von Mises looks to escape but Esposito dives into side control.
Von Mises tries to escape but Esposito is in control.
Von Mises is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Von Mises is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Esposito has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Von Mises is letting Esposito control him for a moment.
Von Mises bucks up and tries to throw Esposito off but instead Esposito has got his back!

Esposito has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Von Mises is in real trouble here. Esposito gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Von Mises is tapping out! Esposito wins by rear naked choke!
