Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Maher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Maher is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Neil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Maher! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neil connects with a looping right hand.
Maher misses with a jab, cross combination.
Neil checks a leg kick. Neil keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Maher swings and misses with a shot to the body and Neil counters with a straight right hand. Neil seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Neil waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Maher. Maher fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Neil scores with a hook. Neil slips a straight right by Maher. Neil avoids a low kick by using good footwork. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters circle momentarily. Neil darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Maher shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Neil sprawls well. Neil wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maher gets slowly back to his feet. Neil appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Maher tries to score with a low kick but Neil moves his leg out of the way. Neil is looking to counter punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neil on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Neil throws a body punch but Maher moves out of range. Maher misses the shot to the body. Maher falls off balance throwing a combination
and Neil counters with a nice uppercut. Neil throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Neil lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Neil scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Maher tries to clinch and Neil counters with a left and a right that stings Maher.
Maher is rocked! Neil jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Maher is still on wobbly legs! Can Neil finish him? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Maher gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Neil gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Neil!
