Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ted Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenneth Jansson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ted Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kenneth Jansson! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson clinches up with Jansson and pushes him back against the cage. Jansson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Johnson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Johnson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jansson swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson stays in close to Jansson's body and controls the position. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Jansson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jansson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jansson can't keep his opponent in guard - Johnson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jansson wants to improve his position but Johnson is controlling well.
Johnson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jansson gets full guard. Jansson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Johnson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Johnson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jansson's head. Johnson controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Johnson stays in close to Jansson's body and controls the position. Johnson connects with a couple of short punches. Jansson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jansson looks gassed! Johnson wants to pass the guard but Jansson is keeping the position. Johnson passes Jansson's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jansson has hold of Johnson's hands but Johnson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Jansson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Johnson is looking to advance position but Jansson won't allow it. Johnson controlling the action here. Johnson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Johnson lands a nice short elbow. Johnson winds up and cracks Jansson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Johnson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Johnson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ted Johnson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Johnson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Jansson has wrist control. Jansson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Johnson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Johnson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jansson for as long as he can get away with. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jansson. Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position. Johnson is trying to get back to half guard. Jansson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Johnson regains half guard. Johnson regains full guard. Nicely done. Jansson throwing strikes but missing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Johnson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson scores with a short punch from the bottom. Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jansson's guard. Jansson keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Johnson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Jansson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnson tries to free his leg and advance position but Jansson is retaining full guard. Jansson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnson manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jansson stands and throws Johnson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jansson wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. Jansson lands a decent elbow from side control. Johnson is trying to control Jansson's posture but Jansson avoids it. Jansson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Johnson has escaped the position, nice work there. Jansson lands a few punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Johnson can't do much from the bottom here. Johnson manages to get back to half guard. Johnson wants to get back to full guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jansson lands a nice short elbow. Ground and pound from Jansson. Jansson is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Johnson wants to control but Jansson is keeping busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Johnson has a hand on Jansson's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Jansson takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Jansson working for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is in no mood to give up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenneth Jansson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Jansson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jansson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Johnson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Johnson prevents Jansson from getting the reversal. Johnson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jansson is looking to escape. Jansson is in a horrible position here. Johnson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
