Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Branden Wooster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alpo Wednesday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wooster comes to the cage accompanied by Jiu-Jitsu Song. Alpo Wednesday will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wednesday slips a straight right by Wooster. Wednesday misses with an uppercut. Wooster saw that one coming. Wooster tries to counter with a takedown but Wednesday is quick to defend against it. Wooster fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wednesday to the ground. Wooster is now in Wednesday's guard. Wednesday is looking to stand back up but Wooster counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wednesday. Wednesday trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Wooster manages to pass to mount!
Wednesday is in all sorts of trouble here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wooster goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Wednesday is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wooster fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wednesday avoids it really well and circles away. Alpo Wednesday is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wednesday throws a looping overhand right but Wooster ducks down to avoid it. Wednesday misses with a double jab.
A big left from Wednesday misses. Wooster has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Wooster swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Wooster lands a nice hook to Wednesday's body. Wednesday takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Wednesday misses with a looping right. Wooster slips a straight right by Wednesday. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wednesday lands a lovely overhand right. Wednesday misses with a looping left. Wooster shoots for a takedown but Wednesday saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wooster throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wednesday. Wednesday throws out a counter right but Wooster avoids it with no problem. Wooster staying out of range there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wooster moves out of range as Wednesday strikes. Wooster scores with a jab. Wednesday acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Wednesday throws a combination that misses and Wooster decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wednesday's guard. Wooster preventing the sweep. Wooster missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Wooster wants to control from the top but Wednesday keeps moving. Wednesday seems keen to control Wooster's posture. That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooster stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wednesday swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wooster looking to sit in guard and control but Wednesday gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Wednesday is pushing down on Wooster's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wooster is fighting to maintain full guard but Wednesday has managed to sneak the leg through. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wednesday throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Wednesday tries to stand but can't do so whilst Wooster controls his leg. Wooster trying to hold on to Wednesday's head to control him but Wednesday postures up.
Wednesday wants to free his trapped foot but Wooster is holding on for dear life with his legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alpo Wednesday dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wooster changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wednesday looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wooster misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Wednesday gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wooster is just content to waste time from the top position. Wednesday takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Wednesday working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wooster. Wooster wants to control from the top but Wednesday keeps moving. Wooster throws a big right hand that misses. Wednesday controls Wooster momentarily but Wooster frees himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wednesday swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Wooster bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wooster takes a swing at Wednesday's ribcage but misses. A countering left hand to the body from Wednesday misses. Wooster will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Wooster avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Wooster scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wooster connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wednesday's hands. Alpo Wednesday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wednesday has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wednesday tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Wooster wants to take the fight to the mat but Wednesday manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Wooster tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Branden Wooster. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wednesday lands a shot to the body. Wednesday lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Wednesday prevents a takedown attempt there.

Wooster is rocked! Wednesday gets through Wooster's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Oh Wooster is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wednesday lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Wooster to his knees! Wednesday keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
