Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy Cottero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, I Know Wrestling!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cottero lands with a good body shot.
Cottero wants to clinch.
Wrestling drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Cottero defends it well.
Cottero lets loose with a powerful body kick. Wrestling will feel that in the morning.
A slapping leg kick lands for Cottero.

Wrestling drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cottero is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wrestling looks like he's trying to stand up.
Wrestling told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wrestling really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cottero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wrestling wants to control but Cottero is keeping busy.

Wrestling is defending against the submission attempts here by Cottero.

Cottero is trying to control the action in half guard but Wrestling is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Wrestling takes a swing at Cottero's ribcage but misses.
Cottero lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Cottero tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Cottero is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Cottero presses Wrestling against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Wrestling manages to pull guard.
Cottero wants to control from the top but Wrestling keeps moving.

Cottero controls from within his opponent's guard.

Wrestling is working an open guard so Cottero takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Cottero works Wrestling's body with a nice hook.
Wrestling throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Wrestling is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cottero's half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cottero makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cottero.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Wrestling is sitting in close to Cottero's body. Cottero has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Wrestling is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Wrestling is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Cottero.
