2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Simr Amud! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrews shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Amud working a defensive guard here.
Amud wants to sweep here but Andrews controlling him for the moment. Andrews throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Andrews wants to control from the top but Amud keeps moving. Amud is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amud is controlling the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Amud is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Andrews has managed to free his arm - good work. Amud tries to pass to full mount but Andrews defends it. Amud wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andrews keeps working. Amud not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Andrews taking some punishment here, with Amud in his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Amud is looking to take a break and control but Andrews is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Andrews trying to hold on to Amud's head to control him but Amud postures up.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Amud has eaten all the pies! Amud is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Andrews tries to roll over but Amud keeps him under control. Andrews is looking to escape. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Andrews trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Andrews shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amud wants to control but Andrews is keeping busy and won't allow it. Amud is trying to get back to full guard. Amud has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Andrews is working away from the top position though. Andrews is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Andrews not landing any meaningful shots this time. Amud makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Amud. Andrews sitting in guard here, content to control. Andrews looking to sit in guard and control but Amud gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Andrews being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Greg Andrews will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Andrews moves in looking to clinch but Amud pushes him off. Amud shoots for a takedown but Andrews saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Andrews pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Amud misses with a body kick. Good work by Andrews as he checks the leg kick. Amud looks for a takedown but Andrews sprawls well. A chopping leg kick lands by Amud. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andrews avoids a kick to the body.
Andrews has taken the fight to the clinch.

Andrews throws an elbow that misses. Amud uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Andrews's guard. Nice move by Amud!

Andrews has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Amud can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Simr Amud has got the better of the ground game so far. Andrews is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Amud wants to control from the top but Andrews keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Amud seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Amud trying to control but Andrews is working from the bottom. Andrews trying to keep a closed guard but Amud is proving a slippery customer.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Amud accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Andrews is trying to keep Amud in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Amud looking to sit in guard and control but Andrews gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Andrews working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Amud is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Andrews defends well. Andrews looking to pass the guard. Andrews cracks Amud with a solid left hand. Amud looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andrews trying to control the position from guard on top but Amud is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Andrews showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Andrews misses with a few strikes there.
Andrews tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Amud was well out of range. Poor timing from Andrews. Andrews closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Amud manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Amud working for a triangle but Andrews defends it easily.
Amud is breathing heavily. Andrews is looking to pass into half guard but Amud pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Amud is in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Greg Andrews will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Amud changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Andrews looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Andrews sneaks out the side door and pushes Amud away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Andrews leaves Amud with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Andrews doesn't manage to clinch there - Amud circles away.
Amud throws a body kick that misses. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Andrews here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. A head kick misses from Andrews. Andrews drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Andrews looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Andrews preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amud avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Andrews decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Amud, up you get! Amud tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Andrews swivels and escapes. Andrews closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Amud takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Amud trying to remain calm as Andrews controls from the top position. Andrews working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Amud is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amud keeps trying to improve his position. Amud is trying to control Andrews's posture but Andrews avoids it. Andrews is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Amud's shoulder. That is not cool. Amud is looking to regain half guard here but Andrews keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andrews working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Amud gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Andrews controlling the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Andrews tries to pass the half guard into mount. Amud knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Andrews is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Amud can do to turn this around? Ground and pound from Andrews. Amud trying to control from the bottom.
