Nickolson connects with a nice looking jab.

Zajev throws a head kick that misses.
Nickolson scores with the left hand. Zajev knows he should have avoided that one.

Zajev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nickolson closes the distance and clinches.
Nickolson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Zajev uses from the top position.
Nickolson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zajev's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nickolson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Zajev throws a head kick but Nickolson moves out of range.
Nickolson lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Zajev goes down and covers up as Nickolson starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
