Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Cohen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Miller Gozu! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cohen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gozu regains half guard there - taking advantage of Cohen's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Cohen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gozu keeps working. Gozu wants to improve his position but Cohen is controlling well.
Gozu holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gozu is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cohen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Cohen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cohen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cohen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gozu is keeping the position for now. Gozu looking for a guillotine here but Cohen defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gozu wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Gozu has his foot on Cohen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cohen works his way back into a safe position though. Gozu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gozu looking for a guillotine here but Cohen defends easily.

Gozu has control of Cohen's left arm, preventing Cohen from doing any damage. Gozu wants to control the position but Cohen says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Cohen wants to control but Gozu is keeping him busy. Gozu regains full guard. Nicely done. Cohen wants to control from the top but Gozu keeps moving. Cohen controls from within his opponent's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gozu is on top in guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gozu is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Cohen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cohen looks for the body kick but Gozu saw that one coming. Cohen wants to clinch up but Gozu keeps it at a distance. Cohen gets the takedown into side control. Gozu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Gozu can't do much from the bottom here. Gozu gets back to half guard. Gozu controlling the position well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cohen is thwarting Gozu's attempts to control the position. Cohen wants to control but Gozu is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gozu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cohen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gozu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cohen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Daniel Cohen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cohen postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cohen wants to control from the top but Gozu keeps moving. Gozu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cohen looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Cohen is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gozu prevents Cohen from improving his position. Gozu is working for a kimura but Cohen is defending it quite comfortably.
Cohen tries to kick Gozu off but Gozu keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gozu throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gozu not doing much here.
Gozu is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cohen has managed to free his arm - good work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gozu is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That was a close second round but I would say that Daniel Cohen will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Cohen wants to clinch. Cohen checks a leg kick nicely. Cohen tries to keep at a distance but Gozu has taken the fight into the clinch. Gozu tries to score a body lock takedown but Cohen shows good agility there to stay on his feet. A short right from Cohen on the inside. Cohen avoiding damage as Gozu throws knees to the body.

Cohen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Gozu creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gozu pulls Cohen into guard.

Cohen tries to stand but Gozu is controlling from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Cohen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Cohen tries to clinch there but Gozu circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A swing and a miss from Gozu. Miller Gozu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gozu throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gozu has closed the distance and engaged Cohen in a clinch.

Gozu lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Cohen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gozu's guard. Gozu is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Gozu wants to improve his position but instead Cohen has moved into half guard.
Gozu is not content to let Cohen control the position. Gozu moves into full guard.
