Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Bennett Smith and Nintendo Takada Jr. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Bennett Smith! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Nintendo Takada Jr! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Smith is looking to clinch. Takada Jr wants to counter the offense by Smith and move into the clinch position. Takada Jr goes for a double leg but Smith avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smith continues to drive forward. Smith stuffs the takedown attempt from Takada Jr. Takada Jr gets slowly back to his feet. Smith wants to clinch up but Takada Jr keeps it at a distance. Takada Jr shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bennett Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nintendo Takada Jr. Takada Jr circles away from the clinch attempt.
Takada Jr keeps the fight on the outside. Smith tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bennett Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith sets himself, and Takada Jr steps forward looking for the clinch! Smith avoids it this time. Takada Jr is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Smith tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Takada Jr manages to circle out of the way. Takada Jr shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Takada Jr fails to land the takedown. Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takada Jr swats him away and circles back towards the center. Takada Jr tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Takada Jr somewhat. Smith wants to clinch up but Takada Jr keeps it at a distance. Smith tries to clinch up. Takada Jr fails with the takedown. Smith tries to clinch up. Takada Jr has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Smith is landing a low percentage of strikes. Takada Jr shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily. Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Takada Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Takada Jr has locked up a guillotine! Takada Jr's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Smith is holding on here and Takada Jr must be using up a lot of energy. Smith has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Takada Jr gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
