Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Test Two and Jimmy Quick. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Quick tries to clinch but fails miserably and Two counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Two (2) vs (0) Quick We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Quick not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Two has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Two wants to free his trapped foot but Quick is holding on for dear life with his legs. Quick is looking to control Two's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Quick avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

But Quick has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Quick! Two decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Quick taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Test Two! After the fight, Test Two was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |
