The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalafa throws out a loose jab but Gordon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Khalafa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Khalafa cracks Gordon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Brennan Gordon has been cut.
Nice jab there from Khalafa.
Khalafa scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
A punch combination from Gordon misses.
Gordon throws a series of punches but Khalafa moves out of range.
Khalafa misses with a few strikes there.
Gordon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Khalafa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Khalafa duly obliges.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Khalafa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Khalafa moves out of range as Gordon strikes.
A little feinted left hand from Khalafa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Khalafa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Gordon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Khalafa.
Khalafa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Khalafa feints a jab promting Gordon to slip. Khalafa then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gordon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Gordon moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Brennan Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gordon ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The crowd cheers as Gordon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Khalafa doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Yaser Khalafa has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Khalafa walks straight into a right hand from Gordon - that's dropped him! Gordon jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Khalafa from any more punishment! Khalafa complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
