Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damian Kita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Boket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kita's entrance music is Aleja Gwiazd. A fine choice. Damian Kita could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bill Boket's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Damian Kita!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bill Boket!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boket tries to clinch but Kita moves out of range.

Boket somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Kita looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Kita could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Boket has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kita off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kita shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boket's guard.

Boket is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kita seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Boket for as long as he can get away with.

Kita has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kita is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Boket doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kita.

Kita moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Boket has worked his arm free - good work by Boket!

Boket is pushing Kita's head away, looking to escape. Kita manages to hold on to the position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kita is staying tight to Boket's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kita won't allow Boket to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Kita throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boket tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kita is in Boket's guard.

Kita controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Boket is stalling here. Kita is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Boket seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kita has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Kita goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Boket has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kita but great work by Boket.

Boket has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Kita takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kita remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Bill Boket has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kita is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Boket is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
