The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhodes fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Rhodes swings wildly with an uppercut but Beddoe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Beddoe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Beddoe lands a body shot.
Rhodes seems to have recovered his senses.
Beddoe throws a right hand that Rhodes ducks under and follows up with a left that Rhodes also avoids with ease.
Rhodes walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Beddoe rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Rhodes has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Rhodes walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Rhodes is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
