Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Henry Serrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubbles Clarke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bubbles Clarke! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clarke circles away from the clinch attempt.
Serrano drives through and clinches with Clarke against the cage.
Serrano is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Clarke is pressed up against the cage. Serrano has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Clarke down to the mat. Clarke tries to counter with a clinch but Serrano shakes him off and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Serrano has his takedown stuffed and Clarke counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Clarke. It's a sloppy attempt though and Clarke jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clarke drops back, looking for a kneebar! Serrano looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Serrano looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Serrano! Clarke manages to get back to half guard. Clarke looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Clarke is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Serrano's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Serrano's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clarke is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Serrano knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Serrano for a finish. Clarke looking for the choke but no joy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Clarke looking for the RNC.
