Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kendo Nagasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richards is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kittie - Johnny. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kendo Nagasaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Richards! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nagasaki scores with a head kick.
Richards has Nagasaki up against the cage in a clinch.
Nagasaki has had enough of the clinch but Richards keeps him there for the moment. Nagasaki tries to land a knee to the head but Richards blocks with his arms.
Nagasaki throws an elbow but it misses.
Richards blocks an elbow strike from Nagasaki.
Richards prevents the takedown attempt.
Richards prevents Nagasaki from breaking the clinch. Nagasaki wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Nagasaki fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kendo Nagasaki. That's going to take a lot out of him. Richards pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nagasaki throws and elbow that misses. Richards uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nagasaki's guard. Nice move by Richards! Richards slips nicely into half guard. Nagasaki looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Richards pushes past his half guard into mount! Richards wants to finish this one by submission but Nagasaki is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Richards. Richards landing strikes from the mount and Nagasaki is in trouble!
That's one minute gone in the round. Richards controlling his opponent. Nagasaki is trying to escape the mount.
Nagasaki wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Nagasaki rolls, trying to escape but Richards keeps control of the position.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Richards controlling the positon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nagasaki is trying to break free.

Nagasaki tries to roll but Richards sticks to his back.
Good control from Richards. Richards is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Richards looking for the choke but no joy. Richards looks gassed! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Richards keeps control of the position easily here as Nagasaki tries to buck him off.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nagasaki tries to clinch but fails miserably and Richards counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Richards is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Richards seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Nagasaki looking for a kimura from the bottom but Richards passes into side control! Richards controlling the position from side mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richards scoring with punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pierre Richards dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Richards walks forward, straight into a front kick from Nagasaki. Nagasaki clinches but Richards breaks the clinch and Richards counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nagasaki! Richards trying to control but Nagasaki is having none of it. Nagasaki gets back to half guard. Richards seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Nagasaki is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
