Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gracie Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Head Coach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gracie Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 2, fighting out of London, Head Coach! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coach plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Gracie Allen has been cut. Allen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Coach can pounce on him.

Allen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coach paws at him with a jab and circles away. Coach connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Coach throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Allen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Allen misses the jab. Coach lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Coach cracks Allen with a good jab. Coach gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Allen. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Allen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Coach. Allen jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Allen darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Coach misses with a straight left.

Coach is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Nice straight punches there by Allen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Allen. Allen moves in looking to clinch but Coach pushes him off. Allen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Coach scores with a nice body kick.
Coach takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Coach swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Allen misses with a leg kick and Allen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Allen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Coach ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Allen moves away. An attempted straight right counter from Allen misses the target. Coach lands a jab-cross combination. Allen jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Allen throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Allen scores with a punch to the head. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Coach, as that shot connected.
Coach swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Coach blocks the body kick.
Allen throws a jab when Coach was well out of range. Allen throws a sloppy body shot
and Coach counters with a left to the body. Coach thows a left - swing and a miss! Gracie Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Allen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Coachs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Allen is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Coach throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Allen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Allen scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Allen wants to clinch up but Coach keeps it at a distance. Allen gets a clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Coach. Coach misses with a hook from the clinch. Coach tries to throw a body punch but Allen avoids it by throwing Coach back against the cage. Coach blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Allen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Allen sets himself, and Coach steps forward looking for the clinch! Allen avoids it this time. Allen throws a head kick but Coach moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Coach uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Allen. A nice side step and Coach releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Allen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Coach counters with an outside leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Coach tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Coach lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Allen circles away quickly and effectively. Allen is looking to counter punch. Coach lands a jab. Allen tries to clinch there but Coach circles away.
Coach wants to counter the offense by Allen and move into the clinch position. Allen avoids the head kick by Coach.
Allen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Coach throws a jab but it's blocked by Allen. Allen sizes up Coach with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Coach stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Allen. Allen throws a series of strikes that have Coach backpedaling.

That was a close round but I would say that Gracie Allen will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gracie Allen's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Coach counters with a thumping low kick. Allen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Head Coach seems to be getting the better of the standup. Coach throws a series of punches but Allen avoids them all with ease. Coach scores with a head kick.

Allen thows a leg kick but Coach checks it and Coach connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Coach gets a clinch. Coach dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Still in the clinch, Allen scores with a nice short uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Allen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Allen misses with a hook from the clinch. Coach takes one on the button. Jab, jab by Coach - just one landing. A thudding body kick lands there by Allen!

Allen has clasped his hands together around Coach's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Allen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Coach is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Allen tries for a kimura but Coach is defending well. Allen cracks Coach with an elbow. That is naaassty. This has been an exciting period of action! Allen landing strikes. Allen creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Allen is looking to take a break and control but Coach is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Allen goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Coach rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Allen's guard! Nice work there by Coach! Gracie Allen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Allen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coach gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Coach has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Allen is proving hard to escape from. Coach stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Allen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Coach trying to control but Allen is working from the bottom. Allen is trying to keep Coach in close.
Allen pulls Coach in close to his closed guard and prevents Coach from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Coach avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Coach missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Coach working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Coach pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Allen is keeping the position for now. Coach postures up.
Head Coach has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Coach is looking to stand up but Allen won't let him. Allen keeping moving, preventing Coach from controlling successfully. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Allen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gracie Allen. Well Allen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
