Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Russell Simon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Benni Caine!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ron Honeybunn and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Caine pinned against the cage. Caine gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Caine throws out a loose jab but Simon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Caine misses with a straight left.
Simon tries to counter by clinching up but Caine breaks away and moves out of range.
Caine circles away from the clinch attempt.
Caine misses with a jab to the body

and Simon counters by clinching up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Caine swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Caine throws a head punch that misses.
Simon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Caine struggles to land a body shot inside as Simon controls his hands.

Caine prevents a takedown attempt there.
Simon blocks an uppercut.

Simon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Caine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Simon.
Simon wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Simon fails with an attempt to clinch.

Caine drives through with a takedown into Simon's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Caine passes Simon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Caine passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Simon!

Caine is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Simon is forced to tap! Great finish!
