Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joey Karate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Quintus Octavian!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karate takes a shot to the body in his stride.
We've been told by Karate's head coaches at mickeyharts the greatest that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Karate lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Octavian circles away quickly and effectively.
Karate throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Karate gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Karate misses with a punch on the inside.
Octavian jumps into guard, dragging Karate to the mat.
Karate has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Octavian to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Karate is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Octavian pulls down on the head and he's put Karate to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Quintus Octavian!
