Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jamie Richard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruce Bee! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bee misses with a kick to the body.
Richard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bee circles away quickly and effectively. Richard is looking to clinch. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Richard. Richard doesn't manage to clinch there - Bee circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Richard as Bee shoots in. Bee misses with a head kick.
Bee has closed the distance and engaged Richard in a clinch.
Richard tries to score a body lock takedown but Bee shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Bee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bee rushes Richard and presses him up against the cage. Bee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Richard wants to clinch but Bee slips to the side and Bee counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Richard has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bee is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamie Richard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Richard rushes Bee and presses him up against the cage. Bee breaks the clinch.
Bee sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Richard to the ground! Bee dives into full mount looking to finish!
It looks like Jamie Richard has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bee lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Richard hang on?
That's one minute gone in the round. Richard regains half guard. Bee tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Richard. Richard looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bee tries to pass to full mount but Richard defends it. Richard is trying to get back to full guard. Richard is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Bee pulls his head out easily. Bee wants to get back to his feet.
Richard looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Richard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Richard is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bee is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bee throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Bee bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Richard blocks a head kick by Bee.
Bee misses with a head kick.
Bee plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Richard doesn't manage to clinch there - Bee circles away.
Richard clinches but Bee breaks the clinch and Bee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bee gets caught flat footed, as Richard shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Richard stopping the sweep attempt from Bee. Richard won't allow Bee to get back to his feet. Richard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Richard working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Richard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Richard postures up in Bee's guard and throws a big left but Bee blocks it. Bee manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Richard wants to clinch and Bee counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bee. Bee is trying to break the clinch but Richard has him pressed against the cage. Richard has had enough of the clinch but Bee keeps him there for the moment. Richard is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bee manages to break the clinch.

Bee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bee takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Richard tries to clinch up and Bee counters with a flying knee. Nice. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Richard clinches with his opponent.

Bruce Bee dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jamie Richard's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Richard tries to clinch up but Bee circles away and keeps his distance. Bee circles away from the clinch attempt and Bee counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bee. Bee is pressed up against the cage. Richard has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bee down to the mat. Bee avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Richard avoids the head kick by Bee.
Richard gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bee scores with a knee to the head.
Bee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Richard darts in trying to clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Bee lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Richard takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Bee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richard tries to clinch up and Bee counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Richard is lucky that one didn't land flush. Richard moves into the clinch. A bit of stalling here from Bee.

Richard has Bee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamie Richard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bee breaks the clinch.

Bee swats away the attempt to clinch by Richard. Richard darts in trying to clinch and Bee counters with a head kick. That will keep Richard thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Jamie Richard's cut is getting worse. Nice takedown defense from Bee. No joy for Richard on that attempt. Bee throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Richard shoots in for a double leg but Bee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bruce Bee seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Richard tries to clinch but fails miserably and Bee counters with a head kick. Richard wants to clinch but Bee slips to the side and Bee moves into the clinch. Bee is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Richard gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Bee connects with a knee to the head.
Richard jumps guard but Bee stands there with Richard around his waist. Richard gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richard is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bee is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Richard to the mat. Richard regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Bee gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Bee throws a head kick that misses. Nice body kick there by Bee. Bee rushes Richard and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Richard has Bee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Richard missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Richard drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bee! Richard regains half guard. It looks like Bee is going to stand back up.
Bee trying to control the action but Richard is working from the bottom. Bee decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Richard wants to clinch but Bee slips to the side and Bee moves into the clinch. Bee gets control of Richard's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bee wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Bee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jamie Richard's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Richard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bee swivels and escapes. Bee pushes Richard up against the cage in a clinch. Bee lands an elbow inside. Bee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Richard tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Bee holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Richard is looking to control Bee's arms but Bee gets an underhook and turns him. Now Richard has his back to the cage. Bee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jamie Richard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bee throws a head kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richard throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Richard misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Richard fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamie Richard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Bee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Richard, pushing him back against the cage. Richard blocks an elbow strike. Bee fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Richard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bee.
Bee clinches up against the cage. Bee prevents Richard from breaking the clinch. Bee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bee misses with the combination.
Richard darts in trying to clinch and Bee counters with a nice leg kick. A head kick misses from Bee. Richard wants to clinch and Bee counters with a shoot takedown. Richard fights it but they end up in guard. Bee wants to control from the top but Richard keeps moving. Bee avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bee slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richard wants to sweep but no luck. Richard trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Richard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Richard keeping moving, preventing Bee from controlling successfully. Richard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jamie Richard has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Richard working for a triangle but Bee defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bee forces his way into half guard. Bee is looking to take a break and control but Richard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Richard throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Richard actively working from the bottom here. Bee is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bruce Bee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bee is nestled in close to Richard, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
And that's the end of the fight! Bruce Bee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
