Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reno Rawlings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rawlings has chosen Burned as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reno Rawlings! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nevsky forces Rawlings back against the cage and clinches. Nevsky scores with an uppercut up the middle. Nevsky misses with a punch to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rawlings manages to break the clinch.
Nevsky cracks a nice hook into Rawlings's ribs. A big right from Rawlings misses. Nevsky moves out of range as Rawlings strikes. It looked like Nevsky was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rawlings takes a swing at Nevsky's ribcage but misses. It looked like Nevsky wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. The crowd cheers as Nevsky lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rawlings doesn't seem phased though. Nevsky just misses with a punch to the body.
Rawlings misses with a takedown attempt and Nevsky counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Rawlings blocks a head kick by Nevsky.

We've been told by Nevsky's head coaches at Russian Top Team Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Rawlings tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nevsky paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nevsky appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Rawlings tries for a takedown but Nevsky sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nevsky appears to be looking for a big counter. Alexander Nevsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reno Rawlings. Nevsky slips under a jab. Nevsky swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rawlings. Rawlings shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nevsky defends it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rawlings takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Nevsky throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Rawlings counter with a right hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rawlings throws the left hand but Nevsky avoids the punch easily. Nevsky just misses with a punch to the body.
Nevsky sets himself, and Rawlings steps forward looking for the clinch! Nevsky avoids it this time. Rawlings misses with an uppercut. Rawlings takes one to the side of the head.
Rawlings swings and misses with a shot to the body and Nevsky connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nevsky throws a hook to the side of Rawlings's head but Rawlings sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rawlings takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Rawlings shoots in looking for a takedown but Nevsky manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rawlings's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rawlings changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nevsky tries to avoid it but Rawlings manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nevsky to the ground. Nevsky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nevsky throws a series of punches but Rawlings avoids them all with ease. Rawlings tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A lazy left from Nevsky finds it's target. A head kick by Nevsky misses and Rawlings cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rawlings shoots in and drives through. Nevsky sprawls well. Nevsky wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Nevsky. Nevsky has closed the distance and engaged Rawlings in a clinch.

Alexander Nevsky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nevsky rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rawlings counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Nevsky avoiding damage.
Nevsky digs a right hand into Rawlings's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Rawlings's gas tank. Rawlings is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Nevsky is keeping busy. A right handed body shot lands from Nevsky.
Rawlings is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

A combination from Nevsky does no damage. Rawlings feints the counter takedown. Nevsky clinches up with Rawlings and pushes him back against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nevsky. Nevsky misses with a short punch on the inside. Nevsky misses with a hook from the clinch. Nevsky tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Nevsky is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rawlings can do to turn this around? Nevsky connects with a knee to the head.

Can Nevsky finish him? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rawlings throws a body punch but Nevsky moves out of range. Nevsky throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nevsky lands with a right and another and another! Rawlings is in big trouble! Nevsky lands again and this time it's lights out for Rawlings! A quality knockout there for Nevsky.
