Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pannah Wu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rondo Ruthless!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruthless takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Wu instigates a clinch.
Wu softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Ruthless is rocked!
Ruthless breaks from the clinch.
Ruthless is still on wobbly legs! Can Wu finish him?
Wu throws a leg kick which misses Ruthless's front leg but catches the back leg as Ruthless tries to avoid it.
Ruthless lands a head shot.
Ruthless tries to clinch but Wu is having none of it.
Wu swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ruthless seems to have recovered his senses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Wu.
Ruthless misses with a head kick.
Ruthless takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Wu scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ruthless doesn't seem bothered though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wu throws a series of punches but Ruthless moves out of range.
Wu closes the distance and pushes Ruthless back into the cage.
Wu lands a body punch.
Wu manages to break the clinch.
Ruthless tries to clinch up but Wu circles away and keeps his distance.
Ruthless on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ruthless has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wu finds it's way round the side to connect with Ruthless's head.
Wu scores with a leg kick.
Wu moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Pannah Wu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruthless on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Ruthless needs to keep his hands up - Wu had a free shot at his head there.
Ruthless walks straight into a right hand from Wu - that's dropped him! Wu jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Ruthless from any more punishment! Ruthless complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Pannah Wu!
