Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Connor MacManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Connor MacManus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Killer! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacManus throws a body shot but no joy. A nice inside leg kick there by Killer. That's going to slow MacManus down. Killer's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Killer duly obliges. MacManus tries to close the distance and clinch but Killer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Killer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Killer moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. MacManus tries to keep at a distance but Killer has taken the fight into the clinch. A bit of stalling here from Killer.
MacManus manages to break the clinch.
Killer lands with a right hand. MacManus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Killer as he avoids it easily. MacManus tries to land a leg kick but Killer saw it coming and moves away.
Killer scores with a slapping inside leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! The fight moves into the clinch position. MacManus letting Killer take a breather here. I was talking to MacManus's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Killer lands a right hand. MacManus looking to slow down the pace here. Killer throws a head punch that misses. Killer avoiding damage.

MacManus takes a shot to the head. MacManus blocks a body shot from Killer. Killer tried to land a shot to the body but connects with MacManus's elbow. Killer tries a body shot but MacManus blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Killer looking to pass the guard. Killer preventing the sweep. Killer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. MacManus seems keen to control Killer's posture. Killer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Killer is continuing to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The adventures of Killer the control monster continue. Boring.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Connor MacManus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A chopping leg kick lands by Killer. Killer getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Killer connects with a single shot there. MacManus tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Killer swivels and escapes. Killer swats away the attempt to clinch by MacManus. MacManus throws a body punch but Killer moves out of range. Killer wants to land a leg kick but MacManus is out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. MacManus avoids the body shot from Killer.
Killer pushes MacManus up against the cage in a clinch. Killer goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
MacManus is trying to pull guard but Killer turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connor MacManus. That's going to take a lot out of him. MacManus jumps guard but Killer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Killer stalling.

Killer looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Killer softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Killer tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Killer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. MacManus has hold of one of Killer's legs. Killer is fighting the takedown attempt but MacManus gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Killer tries to land a sweep but no joy. MacManus trying to control the position from guard on top but Killer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Killer dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
MacManus misses with a jab, cross combination.
MacManus takes one to the chin there. MacManus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Killer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. MacManus shoots in but Killer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dan Killer seems to be getting the better of the standup. Killer jabs MacManus right on the nose. MacManus blinks but takes it well. MacManus wants to land a leg kick but Killer is out of range. Killer moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. MacManus closes the distance but Killer moves to the side and Killer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacManus throws a push kick but Killer slaps the foot to one side. Killer takes the fight into the clinch. MacManus goes for a takedown attempt but Killer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. MacManus moves out of range of the body kick. Killer swings for the body but MacManus moves out of range.

Killer pushes MacManus up against the cage in a clinch. Killer gets through MacManus's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A short right from Killer. A short body shot lands from Killer as the two fighters clinch.
Killer prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connor MacManus. That's going to take a lot out of him. MacManus wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Killer has him pressed against the cage. MacManus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Killer has been the more effective fighter overall so far. MacManus fails with a takedown attempt. MacManus moves in looking to clinch but Killer pushes him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Killer rushes MacManus and presses him up against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Killer. MacManus jumps guard but Killer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Killer scores with an uppercut up the middle. MacManus jumps guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Killer content to stall in guard here. Killer looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Killer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MacManus is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Killer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Killer has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing MacManus to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Killer is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - MacManus pulls down on the head and he's put Killer to sleep! This one is all over!
