Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chi Hubbard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Krystian Skowronek! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skowronek closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hubbard's guard. Skowronek sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hubbard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Skowronek doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Skowronek manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Skowronek's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Skowronek trying to control but Hubbard is working from the bottom. Hubbard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Skowronek looking to sit in guard and control but Hubbard gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hubbard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Skowronek is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skowronek is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hubbard is controlling him. Skowronek escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hubbard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Skowronek looking to control.
Skowronek preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Skowronek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hubbard controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Skowronek looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hubbard trying to control the position from guard on top but Skowronek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Skowronek can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hubbard controls the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Skowronek closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hubbard did well to prevent Skowronek getting side control. Skowronek stands up from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skowronek shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hubbard manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Skowronek preventing the sweep. Skowronek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hubbard swivels though and keeps the full guard. Skowronek gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Skowronek stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Skowronek wants it to stay on the feet. Skowronek closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hubbard to the mat! Hubbard manages to get full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skowronek works over Hubbard with some ground and pound from guard. Hubbard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Skowronek defends it easily. Hubbard is breathing heavily. Skowronek looking to pass the guard. Skowronek wants to control from the top but Hubbard keeps moving. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hubbard shoots for a double leg takedown but Skowronek sprawls well. He's pushed Hubbard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Skowronek throws a push kick but Hubbard slaps the foot to one side. Skowronek shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Skowronek works his way into full mount! Skowronek can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hubbard is looking to escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Skowronek looking to control but Hubbard is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hubbard regains half guard. Skowronek misses with a head shot. Hubbard uses the momentum to regain guard. Hubbard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Skowronek trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Skowronek trying to control but Hubbard is working from the bottom. Skowronek passes easily into side control. Nice work. Skowronek working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Skowronek stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hubbard darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hubbard escapes and gets back to his feet. Hubbard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Skowronek paws at him with a jab and circles away. Despite the aggression on Skowronek's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Skowronek has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skowronek closes the distance and clinches. Hubbard tries to pull guard but Skowronek holds him up against the cage and eventually Hubbard drops back down to his feet.
Skowronek gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Skowronek pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hubbard is keeping the position for now. Skowronek decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Hubbard shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Skowronek but Skowronek pushes him off and we're back to square one. Skowronek unleashes a big counter combination but Hubbard bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chi Hubbard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Skowronek clinches up with Hubbard and pushes him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Krystian Skowronek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hubbard is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Skowronek is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Hubbard tries to reverse the position but Skowronek maintains control. Skowronek controlling his opponent. Skowronek looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Skowronek putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Skowronek cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hubbard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Skowronek wants to control the pace but Hubbard is squirming around nicely. Skowronek controlling from the full mount. Hubbard wants to hold on but Skowronek pushes him away. Skowronek trying to control but he's not successful this time. Skowronek lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skowronek controlling his opponent. Skowronek looking to finish Hubbard with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hubbard! Skowronek jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hubbard is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hubbard and Skowronek has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Hubbard is working to avoid the ground and pound but Skowronek connects with a decent elbow. Chi Hubbard has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Krystian Skowronek is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Hubbard is rocked! A lull in the action here as Skowronek stalls from top position. Oh Hubbard is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Skowronek stands up and beckons Hubbard to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Krystian Skowronek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Skowronek has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
