Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akio Daisuke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Carrillio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daisuke avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Carrillio tries to clinch but Daisuke moves out of range.
Carrillio shoots in but Daisuke avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Daisuke is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carrillio.

Daisuke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carrillio can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Daisuke has hold of Carrillio's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Carrillio manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Carrillio has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Daisuke is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Carrillio is defending well though. Daisuke let's go of the attempt for now.
Daisuke is not going to allow Carrillio to sit and survive in this position.

Carrillio is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Daisuke gets his way!

Daisuke is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Carrillio knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Carrillio for a finish.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Daisuke had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Carrillio is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Daisuke Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Carrillio's back instead.

The fight stays on the outside here - Carrillio looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Akio Daisuke.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Daisuke, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
