Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manny Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gizmo Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ramirez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jay Z - Show me what you got. Manny Ramirez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gizmo Williams's chin.

5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gizmo Williams! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez misses with a takedown and Williams counters with a nice double leg into guard. Williams slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Williams won't allow Ramirez to sweep him here. Ramirez is trying to control the position but Williams postures up. Williams wants to stand but Ramirez is controlling his posture from full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Williams makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Ramirez wants to sweep but no luck. Williams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ramirez will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Williams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Williams wants it to stay on the feet. Ramirez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Ramirez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Williams defends it nicely. Manny Ramirez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice sprawl there from Williams as Ramirez shoots in. Williams unleashes a big counter combination but Ramirez bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manny Ramirez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Williams misses with a wild body shot. Ramirez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Williams tries to avoid it but Ramirez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Williams to the ground. Williams escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Williams closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ramirez did well to prevent Williams getting side control. Ramirez manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Williams keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ramirez lands with a short shot to the head. Williams goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Williams jumps guard but Ramirez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Ramirez is trying to pull guard but Williams turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Williams jumps into guard, dragging Ramirez to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirez looking to sit in guard and control but Williams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Williams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ramirez's head. Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ramirez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Williams content to stall in guard here. Ramirez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth. Williams preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Williams is looking to stand up but Ramirez isn't so interested in that idea. Ramirez wants to get up but he can't break Williams's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ramirez trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Ramirez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ramirez drops back looking for a leg! Williams is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Williams manages to kick Ramirez off! Ramirez jumps back into Williams's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ramirez postures up in Williams's guard and throws a big left but Williams blocks it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ramirez wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance. Manny Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams takes a body punch but keeps moving. Williams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ramirez to the mat! Ramirez manages to get full guard. Williams's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ramirez is trying to control the position but Williams postures up. Ramirez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Williams stacks Ramirez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Williams! Ramirez stops Williams from passing to mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ramirez is trying to control Williams's posture but Williams avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Gizmo Williams will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Ramirez seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Ramirez connects with a body shot that sends Williams's belly button to the back. Williams gets a takedown into half guard. Ramirez manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Williams keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Williams slows down the pace here.
Williams has hold of one of Ramirez's legs. Ramirez is fighting the takedown attempt but Williams gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Williams postures up.

Williams drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ramirez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Williams has Ramirez in his guard. Ramirez wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. Williams pulls Ramirez in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Williams keeping moving, preventing Ramirez from controlling successfully. Williams is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ramirez is aware though and is defending well. Ramirez wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Williams wants to stand but Ramirez is controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramirez stopping the sweep attempt from Williams.

Williams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ramirez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Williams is in Ramirez's guard. Ramirez pushes Williams off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Ramirez fails with a takedown attempt. Williams stuffs the takedown attempt from Ramirez. That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramirez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Williams wants to counter the offense by Ramirez and move into the clinch position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Williams displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ramirez. Williams with the counter takedown but Ramirez avoids it easily. A shot to the liver by Ramirez. Beautiful body shot. Williams shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Williams was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ramirez is trying to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Manny Ramirez. I think Williams has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
