Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexis Vaughn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, West Drum! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drum takes the fight into the clinch. Vaughn tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Vaughn keeps control of Drum as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. The referee is keeping an eye on Drum - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Drum lands a hook that snaps the head of Vaughn backwards. Vaughn tries to pull guard but Drum holds him up against the cage and eventually Vaughn drops back down to his feet.
Drum lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drum looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Vaughn has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Drum after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexis Vaughn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vaughn jumps guard but Drum stands there with Vaughn around his waist. Vaughn gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Vaughn is trying to pull guard but Drum has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vaughn fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vaughn tries to pull guard but Drum forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Vaughn keeps control of Drum as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Vaughn has Drum pressed against the cage, preventing Drum from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Vaughn keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Drum's efforts to push away. Drum lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Vaughn. Vaughn is breathing heavily. Drum lands with a short shot to the head. Vaughn tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Drum smiles and moves away.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vaughn's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Drum creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Vaughn with a big uppercut! Vaughn tries to clinch up but Drum pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Vaughn to the mat! Vaughn covers up and Drum unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). West Drum!
